OnLogic’s first industrial Raspberry Pi PC is now available

OnLogic (www.onlogic.com), industrial computer maker and specialist known for their reliable orange PCs, is celebrating Pi Day with the launch of their all-new Factor 201 Raspberry Pi computer. It is now available for pre-order. In addition, they will announce more about the next model in the Factor 200 series: Factor 202. Both devices are based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. This is specially developed for industrial products.

“We are pleased that OnLogic chose to build the Factor 201 with the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 is combined with OnLogic’s specially designed support plates and industrial housing. This allows OnLogic to offer their customers flexible and reliable solutions. We see that Raspberry Pi hardware is becoming more and more industrialized with these types of products, ”said Gordon Hollingworth, Chief Product Officer at Raspberry Pi Ltd.

“OnLogic has been designing computers for industrial applications for almost twenty years. CM4 was therefore an obvious choice to develop a new device around it, ”says Maxx Garrison, product manager at OnLogic. “During the unveiling of CM4, Raspberry Pi said that more than half of the Raspberry Pi computers sold are for industrial and commercial applications. The Raspberry Pi community already has extensive experience in building Industry 4.0, SCADA and IoT solutions. with the Raspberry Pi. With the Factor 200 series, we provide this community with new tools to continue their innovation, no matter where these systems are installed. “

Factor 201, which can be pre-ordered from today, is a compact, passively cooled computer intended for use as an industrial gateway, automation controller or edge computer. In addition to the Raspberry Pi CM4, the system has an operating temperature range of -20 to 60 ° C, options for DIN rail or wall mounting and 12-24V power supply. The device can also be powered via an Ethernet cable using PoE Power Delivery (PoE-PD). For example, a single cable can provide the device with both network access and power.

The upcoming Factor 202 is specially designed with industrial control in mind. In addition to all the features of Factor 201, Factor 202 also has digital and analog input and output (DIO and AIO). A 2.7-inch capacitive touch screen provides status updates and system control. OnLogic expects the Factor 202 to be available later this year.
