Street festival returns to Zwolle – RTV Focus

Zwolle – Zwolle’s biggest reunion is at the door again: The street festival on Friday 19 August between 19:00 and 01:00! With no less than 28 stages filled with music, provided by the catering entrepreneurs from the city. The perfect place to meet again after the summer holidays. Nice to talk in the streets and jump in the squares. Will you be There?

The referee – Georges Lotze

His DJ name is a combination of his birth name along with the name of the great artist Leonardo da Vinci. Not that Kevin puts himself on an equal footing with this world-renowned inventor-artist. Far from! After all, Leonardo da Vinci didn’t play records. According to Kevin, this DJ name just sounds good. And Da Vinci was a jack of all trades; like Kevinci has a broad taste for many genres of music and has something beautiful in the record store for everyone, including you.

Jack’s Music Bar – Rage against the System
A tribute to Rage against the machine. It will be a big chaos party with Dikke Dennis and Johan Schoterman. The latter has been a presenter for Zwarte Cross, Pedro Pico Pop and Dicky Woodstock for years and will be playing the vinyl records at Jacks tonight. Choose your favorite and he will spin it for you. Together with DJ Dikke Dennis, it becomes a cozy mess.

Voorstraat – Largest Silent disco in the city centre

A party is really a party with DJ Sporieverdorie! ‘You ask, we return!’. With this motto, this true entertainer makes this evening a great and unforgettable success. DJ Sporievedorie worked with big names like André Hazes, Boys II Men, Soca Boys and Lionel Richie. In addition to the Netherlands, he is also a welcome guest in Germany, Belgium, Austria and Aruba and Gran Canaria.

Def Rhymz, the ambassador of Dutch-language hip-hop culture and rap music, was twice honored with a TMF Award and belongs to the first generation of rappers in the Netherlands. Xerxes Naseri is the new talent on the Dutch scenes, mixing Dutch Zouk music into a unique musical mix including R&B. His second single No Doubt is also doing well on various radio stations this summer. Wesley Wolters is the well-known singer from Zwolle. Stevie Poppinghous, Elz Bakker, Theo van Cleef and Peter Veenstra also perform.

Belgian Emperor – UNITE
Take the next day off, because with UNITE you will experience an evening that will make you recover! The five band members pack the finest classics, the hardest beats, Dutch hits and the best party songs into great medleys. They turn every tent upside down and rocking is the credo. You are the star tonight!

t Krojeje – Henk and Mick

Who doesn’t know these The Voice seniors? Henk and Mick have known each other since 1962 and are ‘the new sweets of Zwolle’, in their own words. They regularly perform on the streets of Zwolle with wonderful old sing-alongs, and they also do so during the Street Festival, at ‘t Kroejje. In The Voice they made it to the final, led by the duo Geer and Goor. The judges praised their two voices and interaction with the audience.

Hap en Tapkamer – Men in Music

Two enthusiastic musicians who have made their mark in music. Jan Eijbergen and John van der Vegt make cheerful music for everyone. Inquiries? Gladly! cheerful and interactive; from swinging rock ‘n roll and Dutch sailor’s crack to blues, country, Top 100, quickstep, waltz or polonaise.

The street festival has been a fixture in Zwolle during the summer for many years. The whole city center is one big party. You can dance and dance, swing and sing along with tens of thousands of other visitors. Because the fair has moved to Park de Wezenlanden, there is more space in the city for bands and DJs. No fewer than 28 music stages, large and small, will be filled with bands and DJs in every imaginable musical style. From Dutch to rock, from pop to blues.
