Last Lindegracht concert

The last edition of the Lindegracht concert (this year on Canadaplein) is on Tuesday. Kick-off Re-ring

The new season of Reuring starts on August 6 from 14:00 to 15:00 (doors open from 13:30) in De Sociëteit. Literary walk

The literary walks through Groet are back! The sixth edition, organized by the publisher Kees de Bakker of the Conserve publishing house, starts from August 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Starting point: Eldorado campsite. Writers such as J. Bernlef, Elly de Waard, Karen van het Reve eva worked on their literary work in Groet and Schoorl. The tour goes to various author sites. acoustic mix

Acoustic Mix will play on August 7 from 4 to 6 pm in Hoeve Overslot. On semi-acoustic guitars, anjo, cigar box, bass drum, harmonica and with vocals, two musicians bring a mix of pop, rock, reggae, blues, Spanish music and country from the 60s to the 90s. Natural art

The exhibition ‘Natural art’ can be admired at Artfarm on Rustenburgerweg in Heerhugowaard until 29 August. Six artists made work from natural materials and nature as a theme: Erica Kraan made animal heads from clay, Jos Apeldoorn preserved willow trees, Hetty Branderhorst abstract colorful works, Herman van Loon built 3D works from wood, Meidert Regoort made stylized wooden vases and bowls. Get creative

Develop your creativity? This is possible with various workshops held at De Sociëteit. On 5 August from 10.30 to 13.00 learn how to make collages like Pablo Picasso, Alida Pott and Hannah Høch did. Laura Bloomer

Former veterinarian and now full-time visual artist Laura Blömer from Laren is exhibiting under the title ‘Animal Nature’ throughout August at Museum Jan Boon in De Rijp. The opening will take place on August 6 at 3 pm with Nynke van Zwol, former colleague of Blömer and former exhibitor of the museum. Blömer makes figurative work of animals, including many cats. She wants to show animals as they are, without the ‘human stamp’. She does this with paintings, pastel drawings and graphics. Opening hours: every weekend from 13.00 to 17.00. Open stage

On August 7, the stage is ready to be stormed by various performers during the Open Podium from 14:00 to 16:00 at the open-air theater in De Oude Kwekerij park. Jos Res presents, and there are performances by the music company Fruit Compagnie, poet/singer Felix Hogeboom, the band Demas and the Elma Nijhuis Quartet (photo). Admission: free.
