Your role

Museum Prinsenhof Delft is a museum of national importance with a beautiful Delft collection. We share our collection and stories with the widest possible audience. With our exhibitions, activities and our unique monumental building, we want to give visitors context, inspire and challenge them to engage in dialogue with each other. We do this based on three pillars: William of Orange, Delft Blue and Delft Masters. And with the ‘Delft view’ that is characteristic of our museum, a curious, innovative and open view of the world.

Artistic quality, ambition and strength characterize the current organisation. We are working on a major quality improvement, both in terms of content and with regard to audience reach. We are also responsible for a large-scale restoration and renovation of the museum. For this purpose, the museum is preparing a capital campaign in front of. To increase the efficiency of the team, we are looking for a Senior Fundraiser who want to contribute to this quality improvement, the preparations for capital campaign and the museum’s ambitions.

Your work:

  • You play an advisory role in the project teams for the upcoming exhibitions and projects at Museum Prinsenhof Delft. You contribute ideas, identify opportunities for fundraising and prepare financing plans. You prepare stimulating fund applications and professional justifications and coordinate the administrative process.
  • You keep track of the current development within fundraising and inform the development manager about this.
  • You are part of the Marketing and Communication & Development department and report to the development manager. You work closely with colleagues from these departments with the Collections & Presentation and Operations departments.
  • Thanks to your insight, creativity, network and determination, the museum generates additional funds for the upcoming exhibitions and projects.

Your profile

You are a real networker, you have a sense of relationships and you are able to maintain and enter into relationships in an enthusiastic way.

Other requirements:

  • HBO/WO working and thinking level
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably at a cultural institution;
  • A strong own network within public and private funds;
  • Rock solid writing skills
  • Very good social and communicative skills in speech and writing;

Museum Prinsenhof Delft is part of the municipality of Delft. Your salary depends on education and experience, a maximum of €4,671 gross for a 36-hour working week (scale 10). The position is for 32 hours per week. This is a temporary position for 1 year with a view to extension, where we aim for someone to start as soon as possible.

Thanks to the Individual Choice Budget of 17.05%, you have access to part of your holiday pay and year-end bonus every month. You can have an amount paid out or use it for, among other things, the purchase of a bicycle or the purchase of additional statutory holiday. The parental leave is partially paid for by us. There is ample opportunity for professional development.

The museum is easily accessible by public transport and is located in the center of Delft.
