8 out of 10 companies work with sustainability

The survey was carried out among companies within industry, car and retail and service. Almost 39 percent of companies say they have taken a combination of measures related to energy, emissions or the circular economy. Almost 20 percent have done more sustainably in the area of ​​energy. Initiatives relating to the circular economy (14 percent) and emissions (6 percent) are mentioned less often. 21 percent of companies have not made their business operations more sustainable this year.

Companies active in transport and storage and in rental and other business services indicate more often than the other industries that they are working on their emissions this year. This applies to energy measures for the rental and trading sectors, real estate and culture, sports and recreation. Circular initiatives have had greater significance for the catering industry.
