In 2021, there were four NU schemes that companies could use if they expected a loss of revenue. There was no arrangement until October 2021.

In January 2021, at the start of the second corona year, Holland spoke 8.2 millionand employee jobs. In the first quarter (NU-3.2), support was requested and received for more than one million jobs. In the second quarter (NU-3.3) it was approx 770 thousandfinish employee jobs and in the third quarter (NU-4) to 480 thousandend.
In the last two months of 2021, November and December, NOW-5 was valid and the demand for support increased again. There was too 690 thousandapplied for support for final jobs. For the most part, it concerned the same jobs for which support was applied for in the previous schemes. In total there was 1.3 millionjoen job involved in the support measures in 2021.

Relatively much support for catering and culture in the first quarter
As in 2020, the percentage of employee jobs with NOW support was highest in the restaurant, culture, sports and recreation industry. In all industries, the proportion of jobs requested for support was highest in the first quarter of 2021. In later support rounds, these percentages were significantly lower.
The hospitality industry accounted for two-thirds (67 percent) of the total number of employee jobs in this industry in the first quarter. This percentage fell to 55 in the second quarter and to 23 in the third quarter. By the end of the year, in NOW-5, this percentage rose again to 54. The percentages in the culture, sports and recreation industry showed a similar route. Both industries were severely limited by the corona measures in 2021, especially in the first and last period of NU.

For 80 percent of the jobs, the right to NOW-1 is established in 2020
On October 7, 2020, the UWV began checking and determining the advances paid under NOW. Advances received by companies under NOW-1 (the first solution at the beginning of the pandemic) amounted to 2.6 million jobs. For 80 percent of the jobs, it has now been determined which compensation the employers are ultimately entitled to. In front of 1.6 millionoen worker jobs (60 per cent) the support is finally established, for 505 thousandfinal job (20 percent) determined that there was no right to support. UWV is continuously working on the results, the reported status is at the end of June 2022.
In terms of NOW-1 progress in 2020, hospitality, culture, sports and recreation, and rental and other business services sectors had the largest share of jobs. Even for those companies for which eligibility for NOW-1 has been established, these industries are still in the top three in terms of number of employee jobs involved.

For NOW-2, the number of jobs in companies where eligibility has been established is 33 percent and for NOW-3 it is 13 percent. For the four NU benefits in 2021, the percentages are 6 and lower.
