Zebra Technologies brings the next generation of mobile computing solutions

Amsterdam – Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator with solutions and partners that provide a competitive advantage, today announced the new TC53/TC58 mobile computer series. This series is equipped with innovative technologies that help managers and IT decision makers in various industries to increase operational efficiency, implement new capabilities on the front line and reduce costs. Equipped with the latest 5G and Wi-Fi 6E wireless and sensor technologies and the largest, brightest, highest-resolution display in its class, the TC53/TC58 series empowers frontline retail, postal, courier and field workers by leveraging mobile sizes, mobile point of sale (mPOS) and connected workforce applications that improve productivity and enhance the customer experience.

The TC53/TC58 series features Zebra Dimensioning™ Certified Mobile Parcel, a first that uses an integrated Time of Flight (ToF) depth sensor to capture parcel dimensions and calculate shipping costs on Zebra mobile computers at the touch of a button. This saves a lot of time searching for prices or measuring parcels manually. TC53/TC58 mobile computers are also ready to pay. This gives the user the freedom to pay almost anywhere. The versatile units can also be transformed into a mobile powered workstation or a fully fixed or hybrid POS, a two-way push-to-talk (PTT) radio, PBX handset or RFID reader for even better collaboration and productivity.

Zebra’s innovative mobile computers are designed with users, workspaces and workflows in mind, focusing on ease of use, durability and reliability. The purpose-built TC53/TC58 range offers a new, modern design that houses an advanced 6-inch edge-to-edge display that gives workers access to more information. Zebra’s industry-leading Intellifocus™ technology allows users to scan objects by hand, in a room or on a top shelf, further increasing employee productivity. The TC53/TC58 range also features an integrated 16 MP camera, the highest resolution in its class, with optional optical image stabilization (OIS) to capture sharp, detailed images for proof of condition and delivery.

“Businesses today are under great pressure due to constant changes in consumer demand,” said Casper Zweers, Regional Director of Zebra in the Benelux. “Our new flagship TC53/TC58 mobile computers represent the first in a new generation of Zebra devices that will help organizations redefine their service needs while giving mobile workers faster and more reliable access to the information they need to do their jobs.”

When designing the TC53/TC58, Zebra wanted to build a mobile computer that would meet the demands of new wireless technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and CBRS private LTE (US only) with the rugged durability required in many businesses . The Zebra TC53/TC58 series is one of the first mobile computers to use composite materials with additive fibers to reinforce the device while maintaining an ergonomic, modern design. This advanced material will be available in select premium models in the second half of 2022.

The TC53/TC58 mobile computer series leverages Zebra’s Mobility DNA™, the industry’s broadest suite of software features, increasing mobile user productivity, minimizing IT complexity and lowering total cost of ownership. Zebra Mobility DNA is based on the realization that every modern hardware decision is really a software decision in disguise. Zebra Mobility DNA enables companies to increase device security, deploy devices faster, manage and operate devices easily, and increase employee productivity with new features that make data capture easier and faster for users.
