AMSTERDAM, 30 November 2022: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has launched the TCS Quantum Computing Lab in AWS to help companies explore, develop and test enterprise solutions. The new TCS laboratory also provides an opportunity to accelerate the adoption of quantum computing, which is considered one of the most promising technologies of this decade.
Although quantum computing is still in its infancy, it has the potential to help solve complex problems and challenges that are too complicated for ordinary computers to solve quickly today. Think about improved detection of surface deviations or optimization problems.
The new TCS Quantum Computing Lab in AWS offers a virtual research and development environment leveraging Amazon Braked, a fully managed quantum computing service from AWS. TCS wants to use the lab to design breakthrough solutions, develop domain-focused performance benchmarks and run hackathons.
TCS will support its customers in exploring and co-creating new quantum computing use cases to solve business challenges that conventional technologies currently struggle to solve. Leveraging TCS’s deep domain knowledge and experience across diverse, diverse industries in combination with its technological know-how, Qubits will help clients design transformational solutions. Think about solutions in portfolio risk evaluation, secure communication ecosystems and predicting customer behavior or production planning.
TCS collaborates closely with various partners in the technology landscape, academia and the startup ecosystem and has invested in quantum computing research for over four years. As a result, two patent applications have already been filed and significant progress has been made in the areas of artificial intelligence, optimization, cryptography and digital security. TCS is also supporting authorities and various government initiatives in quantum computing.
“The TCS Quantum Computing Lab in AWS provides customers with a versatile way to evaluate and realize the true potential of quantum technology for their core business. The lab provides a collaborative ecosystem to invent, develop and test new ideas on Amazon Braked.” Narrator Krishna Mohan, Global Head, AWS Business Unit, TCS. “By benefiting from TCS’ investments in this powerful technology, backed by our strong partnership with AWS, our customers can kick-start their own quantum computing journey.”
