During the first date, a jealous husband appears, whereupon Falstaff is smuggled out of the house and thrown into the Thames. On the second date, Falstaff has to disguise himself and gets a good beating. The third time the meeting takes place at night under the famous oak tree in Windsor Forest, but by now almost everyone knows about Falstaff’s cunning plans.
