A positive story about dementia

A mother loses her compass. And her antics. A child does not have the manual and is looking for it. In the fog, in the cheerfulness, in the sadness and sometimes in the despair. And in a time machine. There they meet. And they come closer than ever before…

In the hopeful theater performance Please tell me a secret (I’ll forget it again tomorrow anyway) theater maker Madeleine Matzer is looking for answers to the many questions that exist about managing dementia. A performance for theater enthusiasts, but also for informal carers, volunteers, care staff and anyone who ever comes into contact with dementia.

The actor Juul Vrijdag plays both the role of the mother with dementia and the searching daughter, and gets musical help from Helge Slikker. After the performance, a discussion will take place, with the theme: What is it like to lose someone who is still alive, bit by bit? Can you still find that person? And if so, where and how?
