About Holland Festival
For 76 years now, the Holland Festival has brought the best of the world’s performing arts to Amsterdam. The festival takes place on cultural stages and in unexpected places in the city. All disciplines are covered: theatre, dance, music, musical theatre, digital art, interdisciplinary forms and crossings with visual arts and film. The Holland Festival shows new and/or current work by well-known artists and emerging stars, it introduces international artists to the Netherlands and offers Dutch artists an international stage.

The festival employs a team of approximately 25 enthusiastic and passionate employees and 150 temporary festival employees. As press coordinator, you are responsible for creating free publicity about and around the Holland Festival, associated artist(s), the festival themes, the performances and the various programs and events, in print media, radio and TV, digital and social media, media statements. The goal is to create optimal visibility among a wide audience. You report to the head of communications & marketing. You feed yourself content-wise with information from program managers, program makers and the companies that are part of the festival. You work closely with communication and marketing colleagues.

Activities i.a
● Proactively searches for the right media expressions for the festival
● Maintaining contacts with national and international cultural journalists
● Maintaining contacts with editors and creators of RTV and online content
● Organization and supervision of press trips
● Maintaining contacts with influencers, bloggers, vloggers etc.
● Keeping the Holland Festival media file up to date and supplementing it
● Gathering performance information in collaboration with the print and content coordinator
● Preparation and preparation of press information in collaboration with copywriters, program managers and producers
● Maintenance and entry of press accreditations and ticket orders
● Keep the digital Holland Festival archive up to date in consultation with the application manager.

Profile
• You are good at writing journalistic texts
• You have a relevant network
• You have good social and communication skills
• You work independently, are a good planner and have no problems with deadlines
• You have knowledge of the international playing field in which Holland Festival operates
• You are precise, careful and efficient
• You have an HBO/WO degree in culture, journalism or communication
● You have at least 3 years of work experience within the culture, entertainment, media or similar sector
● Your Dutch is perfect in speech and writing, you speak and write excellent English, and you have knowledge of German, French and possibly Spanish. We offer you
